What this is
Foresight Voices makes narrated, animated video cards — the kind you send by text message instead of buying in a shop and mailing. Every card is written, designed, scored and voiced here. There is no template generator behind it, and no stock library doing the work.
They cost $0.99. There is no account to create and no subscription. You buy a card, you send it, that's the whole transaction.
Who makes them
My name is Brett Bowden. I've spent forty years as a scenic artist in film and television production, with more than thirty-six credits, and I managed the graphics department at Universal Studios. Before that I founded iComm Network, which supplied graphics to the film industry from 1994 to 2004.
That background is the reason these cards look the way they do. A scenic artist's job is to make something read correctly on camera in the two seconds an audience actually looks at it — the right colour, the right weight, the right amount of wear. A greeting card gets roughly the same two seconds. The skill turns out to transfer.
I also wrote a book, Letters From Your Future, which won a gold medal in independent publishing in 2013. Words and pictures, in that order.
Why video instead of paper
A paper card is read once, stood on a shelf for a week, and put in a drawer. It also has no timing. Every word arrives at the same instant, which is fine for a signature and useless for a joke.
A narrated card has a setup, a pause and a punchline that can't be skipped ahead to. It's read to the person rather than by them, which lands differently — particularly for a child too young to read one, or someone several hundred miles away, or a thing you'd struggle to say out loud yourself.
And it arrives in a message thread they already trust. No unknown number, no spam folder, no two-week wait.
How it works
Pick a card, add your message, and send it by text or email — or schedule it for a date. The recipient taps a link and it plays. Nothing to install, no account for them either.
Where we are
Foresight Voices is operated by Foresighted LLC in Santa Clarita, California. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch our servers.
